TheDrip Drop Galaxy is agalaxy inSuper Mario Galaxy and itsNintendo Switchport. The player must feed aHungry Luma 600Star Bits to unlock the galaxy. It is essentially a large planet made almost entirely of water, with a small sandy core and two small floating islands. Sitting on the core of this galaxy, on the bottom of the sea, are some boulders. There is a sunkenairship resembling the ones guardingKing Kaliente, as well as a sunkenStarshroom and a volcanic vent. The planet is inhabited by thirteenpenguins, threeGringills, and various fish, including someSpiny Cheep-Cheeps that are located inside treasure chests.Torpedo Teds are also shot from various areas underwater.
The Drip Drop Galaxy is the only galaxy not accessed from inside adome that unlocks another galaxy upon the completion of a mission, being theBonefin Galaxy.
Layout[edit]
The planet is made mostly of water with the exception of a sand core and two islands. Three Gringills patrol the waters and keep the penguins from catching any fish. On the sandy core, there is a sunken airship, as well as a sunkenStarshroom. This planet somewhat resembles the inaccessiblewater planets in theGood Egg Galaxy.
