Doogans are a canine race that have appeared exclusively in thePaper Mario series. Most have brown fur and either black, yellow, orange, or green hair, thoughat least one has blue fur and pinkish-purple hair. Doogans first appeared inPaper Mario, whereRowf and Rhuff soldbadges in eastToad Town. Doogans were much more prevalent inPaper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, the first time their species was named, and itsremake on theNintendo Switch. They are amongst the most common residents ofRogueport andGlitzville, alongsideBob-ombs,Toads,Little Mousers, and other species. Most Doogans have a tough attitude, and several enjoy watching fights in theGlitz Pit.
