Super Mario World levels

Donut Secret 2, also referred to asDonut Underground,[1] is the second secretDonut Plains level inSuper Mario World, accessible viaWarp Pipes after completingDonut Secret House, located atop a cliff overlooking theValley of Bowser. It takes place inside a slippery ice cave, with many hazardouspits to fall into.

Donut Secret 2 is one of the two full icy levels in the game, with the other beingAwesome in theSpecial Zone.

Layout[edit]

The player is given 300 seconds to complete the level, and it contains fiveDragon Coins.

The cave is covered in slipperyice that make it easier to fall down a pit. The first? Block seen on the ground releases aControl Coin when struck, with a greenKoopa Troopa nearby. Ahead of it is aJumping Board, with aRotating Block above it containing aBeanstalk that leads to a floating platform with aSuper Star. Beyond these items are a fewSpike Tops and a set ofWarp Pipes withMunchers in between; the green pipe on the ceiling past them takesMario orLuigi to aCoin Heaven outside. The area contains a large pit and is populated byFlimsy Lifts andJumping Piranha Plants; thePower Balloon found here can be used to collect thecoins floating above the platforms. The exit pipe deposits Mario or Luigi a screen or two ahead of the area's entrance.

A redKoopa Paratroopa and three Spike Tops are encountered past the green pipe, along with another green Koopa Troopa and more Spike Tops to the right of the yellow pipe. If Mario or Luigi are able to reach this section with a Super Star active, one of the blocks will contain a second Super Star instead of a coin. Eight more red Koopa Paratroopas fly vertically up and down near a green pipe, after which theGiant Gate can be found.
