Donut Plains 3 is the thirdlevel ofDonut Plains inSuper Mario World. This level, taking place above a mushroom forest, is filled with several kinds of platforms, and it is also the first level to featureON/OFF Switches.

Layout[edit]

The player starts out next to aTriple Swing Lift followed by aPulley Lift and another Triple Swing Lift. After getting through, the player comes to an area withKoopa Troopas andKoopa Paratroopas. There are also someRotating Blocks under the player. If the player is notSmall Mario or SmallLuigi, they can break the blocks with aSpin Jump. One of the Rotating Blocks contains aBeanstalk that leads up to an area withCloud Blocks andcoins. Up ahead are ON/OFF Switches that the player must use to change the path of a Pulley Lift to avoid falling into thepit below them. The Pulley Lift leads the player to theMidway Gate. Past the gate,Fuzzies start appearing ontracks, often while the player is riding a platform on the same track. After several more platforms, the player hops on one last platform with aBonus Block nearby, which guides the player to theGiant Gate.

Secret area[edit]

In the second half of the level, the player can use a Pulley Lift to reach a yellowWarp Pipe. This pipe takes them to a1-Up Room, where they can win up to fiveextra lives by hittingPrize Blocks in the correct order.
