The "Donkey Kong Country Theme",[5] also known as the "Donkey Kong Country opening theme song",[5][A] and the "Donkey Kong Theme",[6] is the theme song for theDonkey Kong Country television series that plays during the show's opening. The lyrics and melody of the theme song were written byPure West,[1] and it was sung bySterling Jarvis.[2] There is also a shorter version used onFox Family,[7] and a shorter instrumental version used in theend credits.
The Japanese version of the show uses two other theme songs instead: "Ashita ni Nattara..." as the opening theme and "Banana Tengoku" as the ending theme.
