Delfino Oak Trees[1] are a type oftree in theMario Kart series. Though their name suggests a connection toIsle Delfino, these trees do not appear on the island. They first appear within theMario Kart: Double Dash!! iteration ofLuigi Circuit andMario Circuit, which respectively return inMario Kart DS andMario Kart Wii as classiccourses. The majority of them appear on the outskirts of the course, watching the race, but a couple of them appear on the racetrack itself. If a racer bumps into them, the racer immediately comes to a stop. All of them gently bob and sway while remaining firmly planted.
Delfino Oak Trees can also be seen in the background of theMario Circuit stage fromSuper Smash Bros. Brawl, which reappears inSuper Smash Bros. for Wii U andSuper Smash Bros. Ultimate, again flanking the racetrack.
