Darkmess

Jump to navigationJump to searchDarkmess is a type of dark matter that drives the plot ofMario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope. Produced byCursa and spread across the galaxy, it factors heavily in its pursuit of theSparks and causes debilitating weather effects on every planet it lands on, such as shroudingBeacon Beach in a permanent rainstorm orPristine Peaks in a brutal blizzard.
Forms[edit]
- Darkmess Manta, a giantmanta ray seen only at the beginning of the game; serves as aone-time tutorial location
- Darkmess Bowser, a clone ofBowser formed from Darkmess and a Blueprint inherited from the Megabug
- Darkmess Rabbid Mechakoopas, copies ofRabbid Mechakoopas that are summoned by Darkmess Bowser
- Darkmess Edge, a clone ofEdge formed from Darkmess and a Blueprint made by Cursa
- Darkmess Eyes, which possess an enemy or element and must be destroyed to progress
- Darkmess Eggs, egg-like objects found on the field, can be picked up and thrown at Darkmess Eyes to destroy them
- Darkmess Gates, which must be destroyed to progress and can only be destroyed withBob-ombs
- Darkmess Taproots, which contain multiple Darkmess Eyes that all have to be attacked within the same turn in order to destroy the Taproot
- Darkmess portals, which summon an enemy the next turn and can be destroyed
- Darkmess Thorns, which block the path on the overworld and can only be cleared by using the upgraded Wave Power on their weak point
- Darkmess Dams, which must be destroyed to progress and can only be destroyed with magic vials found during battle
- Darkmess Puddles, small collections of Darkmess containing enemies within
- Darkmess Tentacles, which cause effects on the weather or environment of the planet
- Darkmess Ponds, small pools of Darkmess rained down byFieldbreakers during battle. They will damage heroes that step in them.
- Darkmess Blobs, blobs of Darkmess that only appear in theThe Last Spark Hunter DLC. They cover ground switches, preventing the heroes from using them. Only Bob-omb explosions can clear out the Darkmess Blobs.
- Purified Darkmess Energy Crystal, the result of destroying Darkmess Tentacles and used to power theWM ARC to reach other worlds; two are found on each planet
- Darkmess Dimension, the dimension where the Heroes are sent to for every battle. A portal to its core, where Cursa resides, is located at thebeacon of theComet Observatory, atCursa's stronghold
