TheCrud Cannon is a weapon owned and presumably built byKing Koopa. It is designed to launch garbage over vast distances. In the episode "Recycled Koopa" onThe Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3, Koopa plans to mutate all ofNew York City, let alone the entire human race in theReal World, intoKoopa Zombies, other creatures intohis minions (e.g., seagulls intoParagoombas and fish intoSpiny Cheep-Cheeps), and even statues into reasonable facsimiles of himself, such as theStatue of Liberty, through exposure to theKoopa trash theKoopalings dump intoBrooklyn. AsMario begins mutating into a Koopa Zombie himself, Koopa employs the Crud Cannon from the safety of hisDoomship to continue his dumping spree. AfterLuigi cleans the entire city with theirTrash Smasher, turning the populace and Mario back to their original forms, he and Mario modify the Trash Smasher to make it flight-capable and chase and scare Koopa and his Crud Cannon out of the city.
