- —Crate guy,Super Mario Sunshine
Thecrate guy is a minor character inSuper Mario Sunshine. He is a tanPianta with glasses. The crate guy owns a small, crate-filled shop onDelfino Plaza, near theShine Gate. At the very beginning of the game, he can be seen by the fountain whereNoki Bay's entrance would later be located, while his shop remains closed.
WhenMario enters the crate guy's shop, the crate guy presents him witha challenge: If Mario can successfully destroy everycrate within 30 seconds, he earns a prize, more specifically aShine Sprite.[1] If Mario wins, the crate guy rearranges the crates and gives Marioa slightly harder challenge if he returns,[2] with the reward being another Shine Sprite.[3]
