- “My fiery breath is very hot! Those spiked balls are certainly not!”
- —Cloudjin,Yoshi's Story
Cloudjin is a boss inYoshi's Story. He is a smoke djinn that was sent byBaby Bowser to patrol the mountains ofYoshi's Island inYoshi's Story. As such, aYoshi must fight him after collecting 30fruits in Stage 3-3:Poochy & Nippy. He attacks by using largespiked balls and causes them to roll down slippery teeter-totters, and breathes fire at the Yoshi. AYoshi's egg can harm Cloudjin while he is tangible, causing him to flash red (though not in international releases).

Wie soll man denn debei happier werden?[2] (I always thought that a genie fulfills wishes. But this one is quite different, he is annoying! First he blows hot air in our faces and then spiky balls come barreling in. How should one become happier?)
- Nintendo Magazine : Le seul magazine officiel Nintendo 64: Ce génie est beaucoup moins sympathique qu'il en a l'air. Gare à la chute et balancez-lui quelques œufs pour en finir au plus vite.[3] (This genius is much less nice than he looks like. Beware of the fall and throw at him somes eggs to get it over with as quickly as possible.)
