Click-Clacks, also formattedKlick-Klack,[1][2] areenemies introduced inDonkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest. They are blue beetles with durable bodies.

Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest[edit]
Click-Clacks are enemies inDonkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest. They appear in severallevels in every world (exceptThe Flying Krock and theLost World). Like most enemies, Click-Clacks move around in a set pattern. Click-Clacks have to bejumped on twice to be defeated, with the first jump flipping the Click-Clack onto its back, leaving it defenseless to a second hit. Click-Clacks can be instantly defeated from either Diddy'sCartwheel Attack or Dixie'sHelicopter Spin, by throwing a projectile, such as abarrel orkannonball at them, or if Diddy or Dixie pick up a Click-Clack lying on its back and throw it at another enemy.
YellowKnik-Knaks behave like their successor inDonkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble! in that twojumps also defeat them, the first of which flips them over.
Donkey Kong Land 2[edit]
Click-Clacks are enemies inDonkey Kong Land 2. They behave identically to their first appearance, though the player is given control of Diddy or Dixie as they bounce back in midair after their first jump on a Click-Clack. Click-Clacks appear in fewer levels than inDonkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest. In the end credits, Click-Clacks are classified with "The Baddies."
DK: King of Swing /DK: Jungle Climber[edit]
Click-Clacks are enemies in bothDK: King of Swing andDK: Jungle Climber. They patrol aroundPeg Boards. If attacked from the front, Click-Clack damagesDonkey Kong andDiddy Kong.
Donkey Kong Bananza[edit]
While Click-Clacks do not physically appear inDonkey Kong Bananza, they are referenced by a major landmark in theCanyon Layer named Click-Clack Smokestack.
Super Mario-kun[edit]
A Click-Clack (under its Japanese name, which is justBeetle) makes a brief cameo in Volume 14 ofSuper Mario-Kun. The last part of the book has a series of comics based onDonkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest, including a 'find the differences' activity between several enemies, including Click-Clack.

- Click-Clacks may be derived from an unused "nasty beetle" enemy named "Veedub" (a play on "VW," as in theVolkswagen Beetle) planned to appear in the originalDonkey Kong Country.[4]
