TheCity Tripper is astandardbike body that is included in theAnimal Crossing ×Mario Kart 8 downloadable content pack forMario Kart 8. It is a scooter that resembles a classicVespa and also looks similar to theSugarscoot fromMario Kart Wii. The character'semblem is found on the front left of the bike, as well as on a small zipper on the rear of the vehicle that moves.

Mario Kart 8 /Mario Kart 8 Deluxe[edit]
The City Tripper is the signature bike for both Isabelle and female Villager. It offers a small boost in acceleration and a large boost in handling at the cost of weight and traction. It shares its stats with thePipe Frame,Wild Wiggler,Standard Bike,W 25 Silver Arrow,Varmint, andFlame Rider. It has a four-stroke engine with its own unique sound.
A CPU femaleVillager andIsabelle occasionally use this bike with theLeaf Tires and thePaper Glider.
InMario Kart 8 Deluxe, the City Tripper is available from the start. A CPU-controlled male Villager, female Villager, andIsabelle will sometimes use this body with thePaper Glider, but they will also use theSlim tires instead. Additionally, its stats have been altered so that it now hinders speed but increases acceleration and even traction a little bit. In terms of its hidden stats, it no longer increases water speed, although it now hinders air speed and air handling while also hindering anti-gravity speed further with no compensation. The City Tripper now only shares its stats with thePipe Frame and theVarmint.
The City Tripper has twelve color schemes, one for each Mii color. As the Japanese name "Dress-up Scooter" implies, each color appears to be based upon a clothing item fromAnimal Crossing: New Leaf, with the notable exception of the light-green color, which is based on the limited-editionAnimal Crossing: New Leaf Nintendo 3DS XL model. It is also one of the two DLC vehicles that change colors, the other one being theGLA. The purple and white City Trippers are the only ones that cannot be used with any amiibo Mii racing suit in both versions ofMario Kart 8. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate[edit]
The City Tripper’s lime color scheme appears as an Ace-classsupport spirit inSuper Smash Bros. Ultimate. It requires one support slot to use. Thespirit raises the user's attack power and movement speed during a battle, so long as they have 0% damage. The spirit can only be obtained fromFunky Kong's Shack, where it costs 4000 Spirit Points at regular price. The core extracted from this spirit can be combined with a Mach Rider, Excitebike and a red-type core to summon theMaster Cycle spirit.
Other appearances[edit]
The City Tripper is a furniture item in theAnimal Crossing: New Leaf update "Welcome amiibo" and is called theIsabelle Scooter. It can be purchased from Isabelle'sRV at theCampground. The City Tripper is also an item inAnimal Crossing: Happy Home Designer andAnimal Crossing: Pocket Camp.
