Circus Kongs[1][2] areDonkey Kong's robots that appear inMario vs. Donkey Kong 2: March of the Minis and every subsequent game in the series, apart fromMario and Donkey Kong: Minis on the Move, where they are replaced byCatapult Kongs. If anyMinis touch one, the Circus Kong will throw them up in the air and juggle them back and forth, causing the Minis to remain suspended in the air. Specifically inMario vs. Donkey Kong 2: March of the Minis andMario vs. Donkey Kong: Minis March Again!, a Circus Kong can only carry up to two Minis at a time, and any additional Minis will be thrown aside and briefly stunned if they touch the Circus Kong.
Circus Kongs can stop juggling the Minis if another Mini usesHammers or aFire Flower against one, which causes it to flip over and flail around for a short time, rendering it temporarily unable to affect Minis and allowing them to move past the Circus Kong. An exclamation mark appears over a stunned Circus Kong shortly before it flips back upright. Minis can also escape a Circus Kong if a line ofPink Blocks is formed under the Minis while they are in the air, or if they happen to land on a redgirder. Circus Kongs are non-lethal enemies, and can only hurt Minis if they are thrown into something harmful.
