Chomps Jrs. (also stylized asChomps, Jrs.)[1] areenemies inDonkey Kong Country. These blue shark-like creatures attack eitherDonkey Kong orDiddy Kong by swimming into him, like withtheir larger counterpart andBitesizes. Chomps Jrs. move considerably faster than Chomps, though they are smaller. Like the other underwater enemies, Chomps Jrs. can be defeated if stabbed byEnguarde. A Chomps Jr. is seen in a short segment of the end credits inDonkey Kong's Treehouse, where it chases aSquidge offscreen, only to then return onscreen, swimming away from four angry Squidges. Thefirst remake has a sticker of Chomps Jr. with the letterZ that can be printed using aGame Boy Printer. In thesecond remake, Chomps Jrs. appear in theFunky's Fishing minigame, and the object of theVine Valley challenge is having to reel in 15 Chomps Jrs. before time runs out.

Chomps Jrs. are not enemies inDonkey Kong Land, though Chomps are,[2] andtheir spritesMedia:Chomps - DKL Sprite.png were made to resemble Chomps Jrs.

Chomps Jrs. and their larger counterpart, Chomps, appear in the game trailer for the canceledDonkey Kong Racing, during the scene whereTiny and Diddy race one another on Enguardes.
