Cholesteroad
TheCholesteroad is an event in theChallenge Node inMario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story andits remake. The name is a pun on both "cholesterol" and "road." It is unlocked after theScutlet in theFlame Pipe is defeated. During the Cholesteroad, the player partakes in usingMario andLuigi'sBros. Attacks in a manner that progressively become more difficult to use until the player makes a mistake. The Cholesteroad features two categories, Endless Mode and Juuuuump Mode.
The Cholesteroad is Mario and Luigi's counterpart toBowser's sessions withBroque Madame, where the player's agility with Bowser'sBrawl Attacks is tested.
Modes[edit]
Endless Mode[edit]
If the player choosesEndless Mode, the player can use five of the Bros. Attacks which slowly increase in complexity and speed, against an endless swarm ofCholesterons; the player is scored based on how long they can keep up the progressive difficulty before failing once. In this mode, the player can do all the Bros. Attacks except for theFire Flower,Mighty Meteor,Snack Basket andFalling Star.
Juuuuump Mode[edit]
InJuuuuump Mode, the players use theJump Helmet to move as far a distance as possible within a limited time frame, which can be replenished by grabbing the extra time clocks. Points are allotted based on the distance traveled before making a mistake or running out of time.

Note: if the Gold Rank is achieved without ever stopping after Bronze and Silver ranks, the coin prize from each rank will be added up together.

- "The Cholesteroad is a collection of Special Attack contests. The target is the gooey, yellow-y Cholesteron, a fatty little cell that can take a licking and keep on ticking. The Bros. must unload their Special Ataacls on the Cholesterons a[sic] several times to win the event and earn either an "A" or "B" rating. A "B" rating earns the Bros. some coins, but an "A" rating pays out in both coins and Gear."
