Chill Bullies,[1][2] also known generically asBullies[3][4][5] orBig Bullies,[6] are a type ofBully that first appears inSuper Mario 64. They have icy, light-blue bodies with yellow spikes on the tops of their heads, and they wear green shoes.
History[edit]
Super Mario 64 /Super Mario 64 DS[edit]
InSuper Mario 64, one Chill Bully appears inSnowman's Land, on top of anicy floor. Surrounding the floor is afreezing pond, and touching it has similar effects to touchinglava. In "Chill with the Bully," the secondmission of Snowman's Land, the objective is forMario to defeat the Chill Bully. To do this, Mario must hit him backward until he falls off into the cold water. Like regular Bullies, the Chill Bully also tries to ram Mario off the platform. When the Chill Bully has been defeated, aPower Star is released above the icy platform for Mario to collect.
InSuper Mario 64 DS, unlike other Bullies, the Chill Bully can be defeated by havingYoshi obtain aPower Flower and use hisfire breath to push him off the platform. In this version, the Chill Bully's design was updated to have a fully 3D body with a chipped appearance, rather than the smooth, marble-like flat texture it had before. An even bigger, mustachioed Chill Bully, namedChief Chilly, is introduced as the boss guardingWario.
Mario Golf (Nintendo 64)[edit]
InMario Golf for theNintendo 64, "Chill Bully" sometimes appears on the scorecard.
Mario Kart World[edit]
InMario Kart World, Chill Bullies return after a 21-year absence, with another redesign more closely resembling theSuper Mario 3D World depictions of regular Bullies, while still retaining the singular horn atop their heads, alongside having light blue eyes instead of the red eyes Bullies have been depicted with sinceSuper Mario 3D World. They appear nearStarview Peak's checkpoint in theSpiny Rally and the route betweenDK Pass andSky-High Sundae, as well as in Free Roam outside Starview Peak.
