Chert is aCragnon appearing inSuper Paper Mario, residing inDowntown of Crag. He,Skarn, andMarbald tellMario,Princess Peach,Bowser, andTippi of theFloro Sapiens attacking their village and kidnapping Cragnons.

Oddly, it isJasperoid, not Chert, who brings the heroes to Downtown of Crag, yet it is Chert who appears in the cutscene with Marbald.

Like all Cragnons, Chert is named aftera type of rock, as well as being a play on the given name "Chet".
