A Character Switch in Super Mario 3D World

ACharacter Switch^[1] is an object inSuper Mario 3D World andSuper Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury. Each of theseP Switches has a characteremblem on it forMario,Luigi,Princess Peach,Toad, orRosalina; only the character whose emblem is shown can press the switch. When the switch is pressed, in most cases astamp appears, but the switches can also reveal aGreen Star or a line ofcoins.

A description of each of the Character Switches and the levels they appear in are as follows:

Mario switch: Depicts a red "M" emblem; appears inReally Rolling Hills andBlast Block Skyway.
Luigi switch: Depicts a green "L" emblem; appears inA Beam in the Dark.
Princess Peach switch: Depicts an emblem ofPeach's Crown; appears inPretty Plaza Panic.
Toad switch: Depicts an emblem of Toad's head; appears inBackstreet Bustle andSprawling Savanna Rabbit Run.
Rosalina switch: Depicts aGrand Star emblem; appears inRolling Ride Run.

Notes[edit]

The only Character Switches that yield something other than stamps are the Toad switch in Sprawling Savanna Rabbit Run (which gives out a Green Star) and the Mario switch in Blast Block Skyway (which activates a line of coins).
The Character Switches' stamps are always of the respective character'sSmall form.
Luigi's switch is the only one not found in alevel with an alliterative title.
