Chain Chomp (originally known as justChomp) is a lighter-colored femaleChain Chomp that was imprisoned byBooster inside of a secret room inBooster Tower inSuper Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars andits remake. After unlocking the entrance to the secret room,Bowser will befriend her and the Chomp will joinMario's party as one of Bowser's weapons. She has an average attack power of ten points, with a deviation of up to four points above or below. Bowser uses her as a flail before throwing her at the enemy, with the timed hit being activated by pressing the button as she hits, causing her to bite repeatedly. Other related weapons he can use are aFake Chomp (indicated to be the shed shell of one) as well as a spiky type called aSpiked Chomp. According to Bowser, "She says she's been locked up ever since she took a bite out of Booster."[1]

In theSwitch remake, she keeps her design from the original game despite enemy Chain Chomps resembling typical contemporary appearances. She now can be upgraded into theWonder Chomp after beatingPunchinello in his post game rematch.[2]
