ABumper Ball,[1] also called aSuper Ball,[2] is an object inYoshi's Story. This large red ball has four blue arrows pointing on each side. Bumper Balls normally hook with chain lines that appear on the screen. They also normally move at the left or right side of the wall. If aYoshi bumps into one, the Yoshi is bounced back. Additionally, some Bumper Balls are designed to move fast to bounce the Yoshi more forcefully. In some cases, the Yoshis can use these objects to reach a higher part in thelevel. These obstacles cannot be destroyed by throwing anegg at orground-pounding them. Hitting a Bumper Ball from the underside can cause the Yoshi to lose a life. Bumper Balls appear inRail Lift andLift Castle only.
