TheBumble V is akart in theMario Kart series. Its name is a pun of the word "bumblebee", and the kart itself is based on a bee. Its design bears a slight resemblance to aStingby, with a stinger at the front similar to the spike at the front of theCact-X, and its taillights resemble honeycombs, fitting with the bee theme. Its engine sound is similar to the noise of a bee buzzing and almost like aWankel engine from aMazda RX-7 andMazda RX-8. The emblem is located on the sides and back of the kart.
History[edit]
Mario Kart series[edit]
Mario Kart 7[edit]
The Bumble V first appears as a kart part inMario Kart 7. It offers an acceleration and off-road boost, but its weight and handling are hindered. The Bumble V is tied with theBarrel Train andBruiser for having the lowest handling of all kart bodies, and it is tied with theBirthday Girl andEgg 1 for having the highest acceleration of all kart bodies, and it has the highest acceleration of any kart body that does not have a negative impact on the Speed stat. It is also one of only five kart bodies to increase the off-road stat, with the other four being theBolt Buggy,Cact-X,Pipe Frame, andTiny Tug.
In terms of its hidden stats, the Bumble V offers one of the highest mini-turbo boosts, which it shares with the Barrel Train andKoopa Clown kart bodies.
It is one of the three vehicles inMario Kart 7 to have a two-stroke engine that sounds like a two-rotor Wankel, the other being theStandard Kart and theCloud 9.
CPUHoney Queen andWario can occasionally drive this body.
Mario Kart Tour[edit]
The Bumble V returns inMario Kart Tour, where it is classified as a High-End kart. In the closed beta for the game, the kart used theSlick tires fromMario Kart 8 andMario Kart 8 Deluxe, while in the final game, it uses thePipe Frame's tires instead. The seat is also now colored dark blue instead of orange. The Bumble V increases the duration ofDash Panel speed boosts and the number of points earned for using Dash Panels.
The game introduces two variants of the Bumble V: a black and gold one named theQueen Bee, and the other with a pink-gold and silver color scheme named theRose Queen. Both of them are classified as High-End karts.
The Bumble V appears in the First Pipe and Second Pipe of each tour and is also a part of the Daily Selects set. Between January 29, 2020 and February 5, 2020 during theValentine's Tour, it was also available as a special offer in the Bumble V Pack.
Mario Kart World[edit]
The Bumble V returns inMario Kart World, where it reuses its design fromMario Kart 7, being equipped withSponge tires and the seat retaining its original orange color. Its horn sound is based on the buzzing of the playable Stingby.
In terms of stats, the Bumble V has above-average speed, average acceleration and weight, and mediocre handling. It shares its stats with theRally Kart,Zoom Buggy,Hot Rod,Ribbit Revster,Roadster Royale,B Dasher,Carpet Flyer, andCloud 9.
This kart is randomly used by the CPU-controlledBaby Daisy,Wiggler,Stingby,Wario (Pro Racer), and Wario (Wicked Wasp).
