Bowling is aminigame inGame & Wario, forWii U, unlocked after completingPirates. It is one of the two single-player games to feature a multiplayer mode, the other beingDesign.

Gameplay[edit]

The player has to knock down rows of bowling pins modeled after theWarioWare, Inc. employees, all of which have a different mass and center of gravity. The player throws the ball by drawing swipes on theGamePad screen. After being thrown, the ball's trajectory can be altered by tilting theGamePad.

The minigame has two modes.Challenge mode features three difficulty levels and prompts the player to complete 10 challenges with a strike. Failing to complete a challenge resets the pin alignment and the player has to try again until succeeding or using up their stock of bowling balls. Failing to knock the pins down with the ball will also result in losing a ball. There are five balls in stock.Classic mode is a traditional 10-frame game.

Level 1: A small amount of pins is set up and players are required to knock all pins down with one ball.

Level 2: Pins are set in a more difficult pattern requiring curveballs.

Level 3: Pins are set further apart from another requiring a chain reaction of knocking pins down.

Classic: A traditional 10 frame bowling game. Each frame focuses on one character. Each character's sound and theme can be heard. The order of the characters is as follows:

  6. Orbulon
  7. Young Cricket
  8. Ashley
  9. Jimmy T
  10. Wario

Controls[edit]

  • GamePad: Tilt the ball's curve.
  • Stylus: Throw ball/switch to overhead view of the pins.
  • A Button: Select options.
