TheBoom Box (known as theStereo in the British English version) is aThing inPaper Mario: Sticker Star. It is found on the third floor ofWiggler's Tree House, in the stump next toWiggler's bed. Once collected, it remains in Mario'salbum until it is turned into asticker at aSling-a-Thing station. Once it has been used as a sticker, it returns to its original position. It can also be purchased from theShady Toad for 80coins.
The Boom Box is a medium-sized sticker, taking up 1.5 × 1.5 squares in Mario's album. If used in a battle, it appears behind Mario, playing an arrangement of theSpace Zone fromSuper Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins. When the music finishes, Mario's attack power getsdoubled for a few turns. The player may tap in sync with the music to increase the number of turns the effect lasts.
The Boom Box can also be placed into theSticker Museum as #64, alongside the miscellaneous Things. Its description mentions its adequate portability and satisfying rhythm results.
