Bluey Challenge,[1] also known asBluey the Walrus by the game's website,[2] is the boss course ofSnowflake Mountain inDiddy Kong Racing andits Nintendo DS remake, as well as the second one in both games overall. Serving as the tenth overall track in both games,Bluey is raced here using thehovercraft, and the course is unlocked after winning every race in Snowflake Mountain. The officialDiddy Kong Racing website suggested racing asKrunch on this track.[3]
Layout[edit]
The course is a snow-covered and mostly downhill area with two tunnels (with the first decorated with Bluey's head and the second with a cross of candy canes) and features trees as obstacles. Bluey is raced twice, first after clearing all of Snowflake Mountain's tracks, and again after completing all of theirSilver Coin challenges, orBalloon Touch Challenges in the remake. The second time, Bluey is faster and giant snowballs fromSnowball Valley will roll onto the track in the icy section shortly before the second tunnel. In the remake, snowmen were added to the track, and the sky changes from day to night. The snowballs roll downward instead of sideways, and two snowballs were added at the beginning of the home stretch. The snowballs are also no longer absent in the first race. After completing both normal races, the player can take the Boss Touch Challenge.
