Blue Rings^[1] are objects found only inNew Super Luigi U. They appear in the levelsDragoneel Depths (Sparkling Waters-5),Ice-Slide Expressway (Frosted Glacier-5), andRainbow Skywalk (Meringue Clouds-3). When Blue Rings arejumped through,Blue Coins appear forLuigi,Yellow Toad,Blue Toad, and/orNabbit to collect, and allcoins turn intoBrick Blocks (and vice versa), making them very similar toP Switches that also appear in theNew Super Mario Bros. series. If the character(s) collect(s) all the coins before they disappear, the audience will applaud. Unlike with theRed Ring andGreen Ring, in addition to the ticking sound effect that plays while the coins appear, the switch tune also can be heard.
