Blue Finleys^[1] areenemies inDonkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze and its Nintendo Switchport. They appear in manylevels, usually those that primarily occur underwater or at the seaside. These light-blue fish are members of theFinley family. Blue Finleys are first encountered inMangrove Cove, where they are the very first enemy encountered byDonkey Kong on his adventure. Blue Finleys can be found solitary or in groups. They swim around in a variety of patterns, as shown inDeep Keep, without trying to target theKongs. If the Kongs swim into a Blue Finley, it bites them and takes away aHeart. A Blue Finley can be defeated by either theCorkscrew move or a cane attack byCranky Kong.

InRocket Rails, Blue Finleys demonstrate the ability to swim in midair. The playableKong can defeat a Blue Finley bystomping on it. Blue Finleys may also serve as improvised platforms to get across wide chasms; one of the level'sPuzzle Pieces can be collected only by jumping on a Blue Finley.
