Bird Nests in theSuper Mario franchise are spawn points for variousNitpicker derivatives inDonkey Kong andMario vs. Donkey Kong. There are no opportunities when Mario gets to interact with them.

In theGame Boy version ofDonkey Kong, Bird Nests spawnHawks in theForest andRocky-Valley,Kaibādo in theJungle, and the crow-likeBirds fromDonkey Kong Jr. in theTower.

Mario vs. Donkey Kong[edit]

Nests spawnbirds inMario vs. Donkey Kong, where they first appear in the second world,Donkey Kong Jungle. In the third world,Fire Mountain, they are replaced byFire Bird Nests as spawn points forfire birds; unlike the regular nests, these fire rings can damage the player character upon contact.

Bats similarly emerge from overheadBat Nests.
