Big Troopas, originally known asHeavy Troopas, are giantParatroopas that appear inSuper Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars andits Nintendo Switch remake. They appear in the sky portion ofBean Valley as well as insideNimbus Castle duringValentina's occupation. They are notably one of the only large enemies to appear on the overworld, as they guard certain doors. Their only attack is launching themselves towards aparty member, which takes two turns to prepare. Two different empty shells from them, calledLazy Shells, can be found, one as armor and another as a weapon. They are similar toGrand Troopas, to which the English version also refers to as Heavy Troopas when it states "Heavy Troopa’s ready to launch;" in the remake, this is fixed by replacing "Heavy Troopa" with "The big guy" in the quote. TheirMonster List profile says that they are members ofBowser's Minions in English, Spanish, American French, Italian, German, and Dutch, but this is not mentioned in Japanese, Chinese, Korean, or European French; this is also not seen in-game as they will not react ifBowser is present in battle.
