Biddybuds are multicoloredlady beetle enemies that appear in red, yellow, blue, green, and pink varieties. Biddybuds first appear inSuper Mario 3D Land.
In the platforming games, Biddybuds walk along the ground on a set path, similarly toGoombas. Unlike Goombas, who will leave their path and chase the player character on sight, Biddybuds are pacifistic, and will continue patrolling their set path. Biddybuds make alternating high- and low-pitched sounds that can be heard if the player is near them, typically matching the rhythm of the background music.
