Ben & Amy is a series of short videos published onLEGO's official website and theLEGO Life app in 2020 to promote theLEGOSuper Mario toy line, hosted by LEGO designersAmy Bennett andBenjamin Ma. In each video, the hosts answer questions or take on challenges related to a specific theme and encourage viewers to give their own answers on the LEGO Life app.

  • How does the LEGO® Super Mario™ course come alive?: Ben explains LEGOMario's sensor, which allows him to react to colored surfaces and special bricks. He also says that the player can get acoin bonus by bringing aSuper Mushroom to theGoal Pole.
  • Which enemy is the hardest to defeat?: Amy says thatBoo is tricky to defeat, and explains that it can only be defeated by stomping it with aSuper Star. She also says thatBob-omb is another tricky enemy, as the player needs to collect as many coins as possible before it explodes.
  • What is your favourite LEGO® Mario™ reaction!: Ben answers that his favorite reaction is when LEGO Mario is shaken and becomes dizzy, while Amy's favorite is when his pants are removed.

  • How is LEGO® Mario™ different from other characters?: Ben answers by saying that LEGO Mario is the only character that the player can use to play through a level thanks to his sensor, which allows him to know where he is and which action he is doing.
  • What is your favorite character?: Amy says that LEGO Mario is her favorite character as he has many different interactions and reactions. She also says thatYoshi is another character that she loves as he is "cute" and he always waits for the player to greet him.
  • Can you make a level with all the characters?: Amy and Ben build a level containing many friends and enemies and Ben plays it while interacting with all the characters, finishing with 151 coins.

  • What makes a good level?: Amy says that the question depends on what the player likes and gives tips on what to do for different types of levels. She also tells players to finish a level at the last second to see what happens.
  • What is your favorite expansion set?: Ben says that the "Bowser's Castle Boss Battle" expansion set is good for having a battle in a level, but he also says that he likes to have LEGO Mario interact with the characters and items in the "Mario's House & Yoshi" set.
  • Can you create a level that is really tall?: Ben builds a tall level and challenges Amy to complete it from the bottom to the top without knocking it over. She finishes the level with 24 coins.

  • What is the maximum of coins you can collect?: Amy explains that there is not a maximum number of coins, and that it is possible to collect more than 100 coins by planning the level's layout carefully and playing it well.
  • Do you have any tips for how to collect more coins?: Ben suggests to keep track of the players's time and look for places to collect more coins and get more time, such as? Blocks. He also says that the level timer pauses while under the effects of a Super Star and that it makes the player invulnerable.
  • How many coins can you collect in 60 seconds?: Footage of Ben and Amy playing levels from the previous videos is shown, ending with a total of 151 and 143 coins; the amount of coins shown in Amy's playthrough is different than the one in the original video.
