TheBattlerock Galaxy is agalaxy in theWii gameSuper Mario Galaxy and itsNintendo Switchport. The galaxy contains many floating metallicUFOs and planet-sized rocks withCannons. The Battlerock itself is a huge rock studded with cannons that fire at Mario, and the inside contains many technical contraptions. Many robots andBob-ombs appear in the galaxy.
The galaxy also contains an area where threeLumas are being held.Topmaniac is fought here for the first time. This galaxy is tied with theDusty Dune Galaxy for the highest number ofPower Stars, being seven.
Planets/Areas[edit]
Starting planets[edit]
The starting point of the galaxy is a large array ofUFOs near each other. In the first mission,Battlerock Barrage, there are five BlueStar Chips that Mario must collect to createPull Stars to lead to aLaunch Star, which takes the player to the moving saucer-shaped planet. There is a? Coin that creates several coins here. In the second mission,Breaking into the Battlerock, the barriers must be destroyed byBob-ombs that come out of the dispensers. One barrier contains a Launch Star that takes Mario to the molecule-shaped planet. In the third mission,Topmaniac and the Topman Tribe, Mario must ride some of these saucers to a Launch Star, which takes him to the Metal Bowl Planet. However, these saucer groups are in different places on Battlerock in each mission.
Moving saucer-shaped planet[edit]
To get this saucer-like planet to move, Mario mustspin the bolt on top of it. It takes Mario through an area filled with cannons andelectric rails. Mario can collect a ? coin that makesStar Bits come out of two cannons. At the end of this section are the Big Saucers.
Large saucer-shaped planets[edit]
There are two huge UFOs here, each with some barriers that can only be broken byBullet Bills, which are fired near the second big UFO. The Power Star is contained inside one of these barriers. On the Seventh mission,Luigi is trapped under one of these barriers, which has four poles near it, making it harder for the Bullet Bills to break the barrier. When Luigi is rescued, Mario gets aGreen Power Star.
Molecule-shaped planet[edit]
This plant is shaped like a diorama of a molecule. It marks acheckpoint and hasChomps moving all around it. There are Bob-ombs here that destroy a barrier containing aRainbow Star and aLuma. The Luma takes Mario to a spiky area that plays the Space Fantasy music and has a Launch Star that goes to the Battlerock. There is also aHungry Luma that, when fed thirty Star Bits, creates a Launch Star to the Garbage Planet.
Battlerock[edit]
TheBattlerock is a massive, football-shaped asteroid with gigantic wires running through it, featuring a band of cannons constructed around its center, a smaller asteroid attached to its side, and a cylindrical structure attached to its bottom and the galaxy's namesake. During Battlerock Barrage, Mario does not directly visit the planet, but he must avoid the manycannonballs fired by the planet while riding a UFO. In Breaking into the Battlerock, Mario lands (and then enters) the cylindrical structure. Here, Mario must use a Bob-omb to destroy the barrier to the cannon. The player should then enter the cannon and aim for the Luma to free it, which could take two or three tries (one if the player is experienced). When the Luma is freed, Mario can access a Launch Star to the Blast Missile and blast off while the cylindrical structure explodes behind him. Finally, in Topmaniac and the Topman Tribe, Mario enters the planet through a Warp Pipe located on the side of the smaller asteroid, goes through several obstacles, and escapes the planet, causing that area to explode.
Torpedo-shaped planet[edit]
On this colorfully tiled torpedo-shaped planet, the Space Fantasy music plays. Mario has to bring a Bob-omb to the cannon on its tip, avoiding the electric rails. Then, the player must enter the cannon and aim carefully past the moving pieces of metal, so Mario can reach the Power Star. If the player misses, Mario falls back to the missile or flies off into the distance, losing a life.
Ammo Depot[edit]
TheAmmo Depot[1] is a hemisphere covered intrash. It is occupied by a disgruntledGearmo. If Mario successfully blows up all the trash on the planet withBob-ombs within the allotted 30 seconds, the Gearmo rewards Mario with aPower Star. Mario does not lose a life if he fails to blow up the trash within the time limit.
Metallic hemisphere[edit]
This planet is bowl-shaped and made out of metal. Here, Mario must spin aSpiky Topman into an electrical barrier, thereby breaking the barrier and freeing a trapped Luma. The Luma creates a Launch Star, which leads to the gravity corridor.
Gravity corridor[edit]
Mario should enter a pipe which takes him to an area where the gravity changes by spinning somegravity switches. Mario must travel through a series of moving platforms before entering a pipe to the barrier chamber.
Barrier chamber[edit]
This place contains aSling Star, which sends Mario to an area with Spiky Topmen. The player must spin them both into an electrical barrier, thus disabling the barrier itself and taking Mario to a Launch Star, which takes the Player to Topmaniac's planet.
Topmaniac's planet[edit]
ThisUFO-like planet is where Topmaniac is fought. It is covered with electric rails. There are also some Spiky Topmen andTopmini here. When Topmaniac is defeated, he gives up a Power Star.
