ABattle Arena Pad is a steel pad depicting a mugshot ofKing K. Rool inDonkey Kong 64. They mostly appear in remote locations in variouslevels, all of which have only one Battle Arena Pad, except forDK Isles, which has two. When used, a Battle Arena Pad warps the playableKong to a small arena, where they have to defeat several enemies, usuallyKremlings, all while avoiding taking damage or falling off the stage. After defeating an enemy, another one appears in its place, continuing until the timer hits zero. If the player makes it to the end, they will receive a goldenBattle Crown, and after being completed, the Battle Arena Pad disappears.
Battle arenas also appear in the multiplayer mode, Kong Battle, where players must battle to the end until one is left. Players also encounter various enemies and must use power ups against their opponents.
