The basket of apples in Dinosaur Dilemma

Abasket of apples appears as an item inDinosaur Dilemma. IfMario is chosen to look for food instead ofLuigi, Mario collects the apples from some nearby waist-high trees. He then noticesYoshi and some other dinosaurs in the distance and takes the apples with him. As it turns out, the basket of apples is a trap: If Mario has the apples, the dinosaurs remove their disguises to reveal that they were actuallyMega Moles the entire time, and they promptly eat him. Mario survives the encounter only if he does not have the basket of apples, requiring sending Luigi to search for food rather than Mario.
