Ball Beamers[1][2] are mechanical enemies with nuts on top of them that appear inSuper Mario Galaxy and itsNintendo Switchport. They are immobile, and periodically discharge circular shockwaves that travel around the circumference of the planet, damagingMario orLuigi if he touches them. Ball Beamers appear on opposite sides of spherical planets in theBuoy Base Galaxy (all missions) andDeep Dark Galaxy ("Bubble Blastoff"). One in the Buoy Base Galaxy has agold screw through its nut, which can be unscrewed by Mario or Luigi to open the inside of the planet it is stationed on. The other ones are unable to be directly affected by the player.
