ABackflip Block is a type ofBlock that first appears inSuper Mario Run. They have a similar appearance toLong Jump Blocks andPause Blocks (when the player is standing on it), except they are colored blue with a red arrow. When the player taps the screen while running across these blocks, they will perform aBackflip. Since the player runs forward automatically, this is used to move backward in certain situations. Similar to the Long Jump Block, players can press and hold the screen to perform a bigger Backflip. If the player does aLanding Roll on a Backflip Block, the Backflip takes priority over theRolling Jump.
