Babooms[1][2] are enemies that appear inSuper Mario Bros. Wonder. They are a new type ofBob-omb developed byBowser's Minions[1] that resemble firecrackers with white eyes and black feet. Babooms release a series of three fireworks out of their top whenstomped on or hit with afireball, which can be used to breakblocks and defeat enemies above them without being able to hurt the player. They first appear in theFluff-Puff Peaks Flying Battleship, where their ability to destroy blocks is used to progress through the level and access theWonder Flower, as well as inKO Arena Magma Flare-Up, where Mario and company use them to defeatPiranha Plants andFire Piranha Plants.

Naming[edit]
Babooms' English name comes from the onomatopoeic sound of an explosion, while also being a pun on "Bob-omb."[1]
