TheB Dasher Mk. 2, originally known as theSprinter in American English, is akart that appears inMario Kart Wii andMario Kart Tour. Its appearance is based on aFormula One car likely from between the mid-1980s and mid-1990s (Mario's color scheme in particular resembling the 1988McLaren MP4/4), and it is the successor of theB Dasher fromMario Kart DS. The emblem is located on both sides of the spoiler and the hood. TheCircuit Special fromMario Kart 8 greatly resembles the B Dasher Mk. 2, and its Dutch name, Sprinter 2.0, implies that it is a successor to both this kart and the original B Dasher, which is called Sprinter in Dutch.

Mario Kart Wii[edit]

The Sprinter, known asB Dasher Mk 2 in the British English version, first appears inMario Kart Wii as a medium-sized kart. It features great speed; it is the fastest medium vehicle in the game and the second fastest kart in the game after theJetsetter. It is also the third fastest vehicle in the game, after theSpear and the Jetsetter. Its weight, which is tied with theShooting Star, is slightly above average, and it is the second heaviest medium kart in the game, only to be behind that of theWild Wing’s. Its drift is about average, but its other stats are rather low, and it has the worst handling, off-road, and Mini-Turbo of the medium vehicles. The Sprinter's drift is tied with theBooster Seat, and its acceleration is tied with theHoneycoupe. Its off-road and handling tie with that of theFlame Runner for fourth worst handling (behind theFlame Flyer, Spear, and Jetsetter) and fourth worst off-road in the game (behind the Flame Flyer, Spear, and Jetsetter).

The kart can be unlocked by unlocking 24 expert staff ghosts in Time Trials, by winning 3,000 WFC races or by playing 4,650 races; as such, it is most likely to be among the final vehicles unlocked. The Sprinter’sbike counterpart is theSneakster, its large counterpart is theJetsetter, and its small counterpart is theBlue Falcon. The Sprinter also has the lowest stat total out of any medium vehicle in the game, having only 245 stat points.

IfDaisy rides the Sprinter, its speed can surpass theSpear's default speed by one point, which will make it the second fastest vehicle in the game. Also, ifPeach rides the Sprinter, its acceleration will tie with theBullet Bike's default acceleration stat.

Mario Kart Tour[edit]

The B Dasher Mk. 2 returns inMario Kart Tour under its current American English name. It is a tour-exclusive High-End kart debuting in the2021 Mario Tour as the signature kart ofMario (Racing); it later became the signature kart of Mario (Golf) during thePiranha Plant Tour. Unlike before, it is only equipped with Mario's color scheme no matter which driver is using it. The B Dasher Mk. 2 retains its original tires, although they now have theMario Kart logo on them. It increases the duration ofDash Panel speed boosts and the number of points earned for using Dash Panels.

This is the only kart inMario Kart Tour to use the original British English name in its English version as opposed to the original American English name.

The game also introduces eight variants of this kart, two of which use color schemes fromMario Kart Wii: theRed B Dasher Mk. 2,Pink B Dasher Mk. 2,Classic B Dasher Mk. 2,Sky-Blue B Dasher Mk. 2,Metal B Dasher Mk. 2,Cream B Dasher Mk. 2 (Female Mii's color scheme),Green B Dasher Mk. 2 (Bowser Jr.'s color scheme), andBlack B Dasher Mk. 2. The first seven karts all debuted in the2nd Anniversary Tour, while the Black B Dasher Mk. 2 debuted in the2023 Anniversary Tour. All variants share the High-End classification.

Starting with theBattle Tour, the B Dasher Mk. 2 is available in regular tour pipes, including the All-Clear Pipe. However, it is not currently a part of the Daily Selects. The table below shows the kart's availability by tour.
