Alpine Assault is a 4-Playerminigame inMario Party 8.
Overview[edit]
Beside an audience of cheeringGoombas, the four players are on snowboards, behind the gate, ready to go.
The objective is to get down the hill first. The player controls themselves by turning theWii Remote. On ramps, if the player presses
or
, they get a boost of speed when they land. There are obstacles along the way, such asMr. Blizzards, that can get in the way while the player goes down. The player who crosses the finish line first wins. If all four players cross the finish line at the same time or if five minutes pass, the minigame ends in a tie.
The ending shows the players at the bottom with their boards. The winner is slightly in front of the other players, and everyone does their winning and losing poses accordingly. If the minigame ends in a tie, the players are lined up by player order and do their losing animations.
