Plot synopsis[edit]

Diddy Kong is struggling with his math homework, soDonkey Kong tells him he will never be likeAlbert Einstein because of his lack of intelligence. Curious, Diddy asks who Einstein is. DK explains briefly and walks away. After working through a few more division problems, Albert Einstein suddenly appears from Diddy's math book. He introduces himself, but Diddy does not believe him. To prove it, Diddy asks Einstein to solve a difficult math question, which he answers effortlessly. Impressed, Diddy asks for help with his own problem, butFunky Kong bursts in looking for his guitar. Spotting Einstein, Funky asks who he is, and Diddy explains. Einstein notices Funky's guitar and says that music is his "second passion". He starts to play, but Diddy, unimpressed, just wants help with his math question. The narrator then states: "Will Diddy succeed in getting Einstein interested in his math problem? And what will Donkey say when he sees this strange character? Find out after the top series that follows!" A show that aired onDKTV would play.

After the break, the narrator recaps the events. Diddy again asks Einstein for help, but Funky cheerfully insists they can still have fun. Einstein admits he was not doing too bad on the guitar, and Funky congratulates him. Diddy tries to get Einstein's attention, but Funky invites Einstein to write a song with him. Einstein agrees, but after helping Diddy first. Just as Diddy begins to explain his question,Candy Kong walks in, and asks Diddy about the "charming gentleman". After the introduction, Candy offers to leave so Einstein can help Diddy, but Einstein insists on walking her home. They leave together, and Diddy is left to work alone.

An hour later, Diddy is still confused. DK enters, and Diddy explains that he has not answered his problem. DK, however, is more concerned about a "funny guy" who is now flirting with Candy. Diddy pretends not to know who DK is talking about, and DK storms off to find his love rival. The narrator returns: "Will Donkey discover that the gentleman charming Candy is none other than Albert Einstein, the famous mathematician? And will Diddy manage to get help with finishing his math homework? Find out after the top series that follows!" Another show that aired onDKTV would play.

When the show returns, the narrator once again summarizes what happened. Diddy shares what he has figured out so far. Candy reappears, asking if Diddy has seen Einstein, but he denies it, and she continues her search. Einstein shows up moments later, singing the song he and Funky composed. Diddy, unimpressed, just wants help with his math question. He explains his work so far, but when Einstein hears DK coming, he excuses himself, saying Diddy's friend wants to seize him, and leaves.

An annoyed DK enters, demanding to know if Diddy has seen "the weird guy hitting on Candy", then rushes off again. Funky shows up next, but Diddy, frustrated, tells him to get out of the room and go play somewhere else. After another hour of concentration, Diddy finally solves his math problem. Einstein bursts back in, asking to hide in Diddy's math book because "the big ape" is after him, promising to help later. Diddy proudly says he no longer needs help due to finding the answer himself.

DK storms in, furious with the man flirting with Candy. Einstein reveals his identity to DK and explains that he came to help Diddy. DK accuses Diddy of disobeying him by asking for help, but Diddy insists he solved it alone. Einstein confirms Diddy's claim but DK does not believe them. Einstein leaves by entering the math book, and DK tells Diddy not to ask anyone for help again. He orders Diddy to do his French homework next, which is memorizing scene two of act three from the playLe Bourgeois gentilhomme byMolière. When Diddy opens the book, Molière's head appears on the page and offers to help. Diddy refuses and walks away.
