Aeon Co., Ltd., also stylized asAEON orÆON, is a Japanese retail company. Since 2023,Nintendo has collaborated with Aeon to create events promoting games in theSuper Mario franchise.

Super Mario Bros. Wonder (October 2023)[edit]
Starting October 21, 2023, a quiz rally took place at the video game sections of Japanese Aeon stores to promoteSuper Mario Bros. Wonder.[2] Participants had to wear reversibleMario/Luigi visor caps and answer three questions related to the game on posters around the store.[2] Each participant received a sticker at the end.[2]

Mario & Luigi Quiz Rally (November–December 2024)[edit]
Another quiz rally was held at the video game sections of Japanese Aeon stores starting November 30, 2024, titledMario & Luigi Quiz Rally (マリオ＆ルイージ クイズラリー,Mario ando Ruīji Kuizu Rarī).[4] It used the same format as the previous quiz rally, with participants having to wear visor caps and answer four questions related to games featuring Mario and Luigi (Mario Kart 8 Deluxe,Super Mario Bros. Wonder,Super Mario Party Jamboree, andMario & Luigi: Brothership).[4] Participants received two Christmas-themed Mario and Luigi stickers for answering all questions correctly.[4] In addition, customers who purchased one of the games featured in the quiz received a clear file depicting Mario and Luigi.[4]

Donkey Kong Bananza (August 2025)[edit]
From August 8 to August 31, 2025, a quiz rally took place at Japanese Aeon stores to promoteDonkey Kong Bananza.[9] Participants had to wearDonkey Kong Bananza-branded visor caps and answer three questions related to the game on posters around the store.[9] Each participant received a sticker at the end.[9] A promotion was also active at the same time where customers would receive a notepad by purchasing the game or an acrylic board by purchasing both aNintendo Switch 2 and the game.[9]
Nintendo Switch de Asoberu Mario no Game o Taiken Shiyō![edit]

The event Nintendo Switch de Asoberu Mario no Game o Taiken Shiyō! was also hosted in malls managed by Aeon in May 2023, specifically the Kyoto Katsuragawa and Makuhari New City malls. The event was rerun in July and November 2024 exclusively in the Kashihara and Kyoto Katsuragawa malls, respectively.
