The1999 Nintendo Power Awards were an online awards ceremony available via the officialNintendo website. To vote in one of the main categories, one would have to mail in their vote toNintendo Power magazine. Additional categories were provided so that users also had the opportunity to vote online. The winner in many categories was a game in theSuper Mario franchise, in addition to runner-ups in other categories also beingSuper Mario–franchise games.
