Your web browser is your portal to the web. But what if it could be more than that? What if you could bring AI into your web browser to enhance and streamline your browsing process, creating a truly personalized browsing experience?

Well, with an AI browser, you can.

1.Microsoft Edge Copilot

After redefining web search by integrating OpenAI's ChatGPT into Bing, Microsoft has taken another step to revolutionize web browsing by adding its AI assistant, Copilot, to the Edge browser. So,what is Microsoft Copilot, and how can you use it?

Copilot is an advanced AI assistant developed by Microsoft and integrated across its operating systems and apps. One of its most useful applications is in the Edge browser, where it can be used for various tasks. To get started, download Microsoft Edge, sign in with your Microsoft account (or create one if you don't have one), and click on the Copilot icon on the Edge sidebar.

Copilot in Microsoft Edge has three main features:Chat, which allows you to have conversations using natural language, summarize web pages, and get answers to your questions;Compose, which helps you with writing tasks such as composing emails or blog posts; andInsight, which provides relevant information based on the webpage you're currently viewing. All in all, this AI web browser is an excellent tool if you are looking to boost your productivity and streamline your web browsing experience.

2.Brave's Leo AI

If you care about privacy and security while browsing the web, you may have heard about or used the Brave browser. Brave is a privacy-focused web browser with built-in ad and tracker blockers, making it a popular alternative to Google Chrome. However, otherBrave browser features can improve your browsing experience, including its AI assistant, Leo.

Like Microsoft Edge, you only need to download Brave and open the browser. You'll then see the Leo icon on the sidebar in the right corner of your screen. If you can't access the sidebar, click on the three horizontal lines in the top right corner of the Brave browser and go toMore Tools > Show Sidebar > Always.

You can use Leo by clicking on its icon (which looks like a chat icon with an asterisk) on the sidebar and interact with it as you would with other chatbots. Leo uses natural language processing to understand your questions, provide relevant responses, and summarize web pages, among other features.

3.Opera's Aria Browser AI

Opera is a solid web browser that offers handy features like a built-in VPN, ad blocker, and some of the most popular messengers, including WhatsApp and Telegram. More recently, Opera has also jumped on the AI bandwagon with its integrated AI assistant Aria.

Toset up and use AI in Opera, download and launch the AI browser. You'll find Aria in the Sidebar on the left side of the screen. Alternatively, access Aria via your keyboard'sCtrl + /(CMD + /on macOS) shortcut. Aria can help you with various tasks, such as translating texts, answering questions, and composing blog posts, emails, or presentations.

4.Arc's Max

Arc is a free and easy-to-use web browser that aims to improve your browsing experience by helping you stay organized.Arc offers several features for better productivity, including dedicated areas with profiles and seamless split-screen support. The onboarding experience is simple, making importing data from your old browser easy.

However, its AI-powered virtual assistant, Max, makes Arc even better for those who want to improve productivity. To start using Arc's Max, download and launch it, and pressCmd + T to access the command bar. Type'Arc Max' and press enter to enable it. SelectTurn On Max to activate Max's features.

You can use Arc's Max to generate a webpage preview by hovering over its link and pressing theShiftkey, but without clicking on it. This makes it easier to decide whether to visit the page. You can also use it to ask questions and summarize web pages usingCmd + F.

Currently, Arc is only available on macOS, but a long-awaited Windows version is in the works and scheduled to launch in 2024.

5.SigmaOS Airis

SigmaOS is the newest AI-powered browser on our list, a feature-rich and intuitive Mac browser that everyone should try. SigmaOS promises a new, better, faster browsing experience by grouping tabs into personalized workspaces to help you stay focused. However, its new AI assistant, Airis, helps you automate mundane tasks and optimize your browsing experience.

To use Airis, download and launch SigmaOS and click on its icon in the top right corner of your screen. You can use Airis to ask questions, generate poems, and summarize web pages. You can also use it to reword web pages to make them simpler or add humor, among others. What's unique about Airis is that it does the rewording on the web page rather than on its window or dialogue box.

However, at the time of writing, you have to sign up for theAiris waitlist to gain access. For reference, my request took a couple of weeks to process, but timing will vary on demand.

Unlike Arc, SigmaOS won't be coming to Windows any time soon, as it uses Apple WebKit. Still, it's a great option for macOS users.
