Manage payment information for online purchase
Last updated: 1 month agoIf you have purchased your subscription online, you can add, edit, delete, or change payment information from the Payment methods section of the LinkedIn Admin Center page. After adding a new payment method, you’ll need to apply it to your active subscription to ensure future payments are processed successfully.
Who can use this feature?
Notes:
- Payment information cannot be updated via the LinkedIn mobile app.
- When you purchase an InMail, Premium account or a job posting, we automatically store your payment method so you can make additional purchases without re-entering your information. You can also store multiple payment methods and manage them for different products.
- We don't currently store payment information for LinkedIn Ads or Sponsored Jobs.
In the upper-right corner of the page, click Add payment method.
Add your payment method and billing country along with the postal code.
Click Save.
Note: After adding a new payment method, you can apply it to your active subscription. TheAdd new payment method to subscription dialog box will prompt you to confirm if you’d like to use the newly added credit card for all future charges. SelectUpdate payment method, and a confirmation message will appear once the card has been successfully applied. The status next to your payment method will display asActiveon thePayment methods page. You can also verify this by going toPurchasesand checking theBilling information section of your active subscription, where the new payment method will appear.
Note: If you're a member from India and want to update your payment information for the current subscription, then you can follow these steps.
To update a payment method for India members:
- Click on the
More icon next to the payment method, and then clickEdit from the dropdown. - Enter your payment information.
- Click Save.
Note:
- When you have more than one payment method stored in your account, you can select the method you'd like to use to purchase a product.
- If you receive an error while updating your payment method, it means that the billing country of your new payment method does not match the billing country used for your first LinkedIn purchase. To resolve this issue, you can either use a payment method that has the billing country same as the one used for your initial purchase, or cancel your contract and resubscribe.
Note: You can’t delete a payment method that’s linked to an active, recurring purchase. You’ll need to switch the payment method to delete the card on file. If you’ve cancelled your plan, you’ll need to wait until the end of the billing cycle before you can delete that payment method.
To delete a payment method:
- Click the
More icon next to the payment method you want to delete, and then selectDelete from the dropdown. - ClickDelete in theDelete payment method dialog box.
If members have more than one active purchase, they will need to go to thePurchases page to link the new card to all the purchases.
To change your new payment method for an active subscription:
- Navigate to the LinkedIn Admin Center page.
- Click Purchases on the left pane.
- Under Active, click the subscription for which you want to change the payment method.
You'll be able to view the payment methods associated with the active subscription in theBilling information section. - Click Change payment method underActions in the subscription page.
- In theChange Payment Method page, select the payment method that you'd like to switch to from the dropdown.
- Click Confirm changes.
To change your new payment method for a job posting account:
- Navigate to theLinkedIn Admin Center page.
- ClickOverview on the left pane.
- ClickJob postings on LinkedIn.com. You'll be able to view the payment methods associated with this Job Posting account.
- ClickChange payment method and select the payment method that you'd like to switch to from the dropdown.
- ClickConfirm changes.
