108thSociety of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) annual dinner is TOMORROW NIGHT! How has that been a year already!?Last week at theTransport + Energy Forum event we identified that knowledge, consistency and certainty are three things needed when switching to EV. That counts across the entire ecosystem, end to end. From a contract withShoosmiths, to EV payments withPaythru. Thank youShoosmiths for hosting us on your Table. I adore this event, looking forward to seeing you thereJoseph Turner and raising a glass with the rest of the team!#collaboration#ev#payments

I’m heading to theSociety of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) Annual Dinner, tomorrow at Grosvenor House. It’s one of the big dates in the automotive calendar, with around 1,000 people from across industry, government and the media in the room.Peter Kyle will be giving the keynote.Mick Flanagan from Adient will share the industry view. There’s plenty to talk about this year and it’s a good moment to step back, listen and compare notes with others facing the same pressures and opportunities. For us atBAM Engineering Ltd, the priority is simple. Keep delivering the kind of dependable UK manufacturing that our customers rely on, and keep moving towards a more transparent and data-ready supply chain. We’re already working withTraceID on our pilot, so events like this help me understand how the wider industry is thinking about traceability, regulation and future demand. If you’re attending, feel free to say hello. I’ll be at the drinks reception from 18:45.#SMMTAnnualDinner#Automotive#UKManufacturing#Engineering#SupplyChain#Traceability#MadeInBritain

Bringing down the sky-high cost of energy faced by UK Automotive would arguably be the biggest boost to the sector’s competitiveness and global attractiveness. This consultation is a necessary step but must deliver quickly for businesses of all sizes – from the suppliers fuelling factory lines with critical components, to manufacturers assembling them into high-value vehicles for global export. As we transition away from fossil fuel vehicles to the production of electric vehicles and batteries, energy costs become an even more important investment factor so the British Industrial Competitiveness Scheme should send a clear signal to investors worldwide that the UK is open for business.Department for Business and Tradehttps://lnkd.in/eeGntnk2
