  Noble Patron of Armor Award. On 16 July 2025, during a visit to engage with one of our JLC partner sites that supports M1A2 SEPv3 Abrams maintenance, I was presented an award on behalf of the US Cavalry & Armor Association, the Noble Patron of Armor Award by Mr Mike Athey, Chief Material Fielding Team for PM Abrams. The Noble Patron of Armor Award was developed to recognise those individuals, other than Armor or Cavalry, who have significantly contributed to the organisational success, or the morale and welfare, of armor and cavalry organisations. This award accompanies the Order of St. George Medallion, initiated in 1986 and primarily designed as a U.S. Armor/Cavalry Branch specific award.It is in the tradition of the NOBLE PATRON, a tradition of companionship and service alongside the mounted warrior that the U.S. Cavalry and Armor Association present this new award. Thank you to PM Abrams and the US Cavalry & Armor Association for this award to an Australian civilian (Veteran) as I know how much both the St. George and Noble Patron awards mean to our US Allies and the men and women behind the scenes supporting the War Fighter.
