  • Our programme of visits to universities and colleges is back in full swing, with a recent trip toTrinity College Bristol.We had the chance to speak to staff and students about how they are fostering a sense of community and supporting student wellbeing.A special thank you to students Nadine, Jenny, Dan and Toby, who gave us a fascinating tour of the beautiful Grade II* listed buildings and grounds.

  • Earlier this year, we surveyed 50,000 undergraduate students in England about their experience of harassment and sexual misconduct.We found that:- Nearly a quarter of final-year undergraduates have experienced sexual harassment since beginning their studies.- One in seven have experienced sexual assault/violence. - Women were nearly three times more likely to experience sexual harassment than men. - Nearly half of lesbian, gay, or bisexual students experienced sexual harassment, compared with 21.7 per cent of heterosexual students.- Younger people and disabled students also reported significantly higher rates of sexual harassment and sexual assault or violence.- Over half of respondents who experienced sexual harassment in the last 12 months said that the incident(s) involved someone connected to their university or college.
