  • Enabling caregivers to take advantage of much-needed respite is one of the missions of Camp Freedom. The camp is run by Lions and designed to serve vulnerable and underserved children, such as children with parents or guardians suffering from addiction. Providing a week of rest for foster parents and family members, while giving children the opportunity to make meaningful connections at camp, can have a positive impact on the mental health and well-being of families. What a wonderful week of service, learning, interactions and growth with like minded people including 200 Leos and over 600 Leos. Shout to Leo Ivy and her team for such an impactful sustainable program which also includes a class of about 40 Teen and Pre Teen children undergoing a 12 Week Sexual and Health Rights training facilitated by the same organisation.Grateful to my gracious hosts in MD411 including Multiple District President and Incoming Advisory Panelist Leo Nathaniel,Past Advisory Panelist and current GAT Area E Leader PDG Lion Shehzan and the entire leadership team of MD411.
