When a fan Pre-Saves or Future Saves a release, Multi Follow ensures they automatically follow the artist (and optionally, their playlists or profiles) on DSPs.While we support Multi Follow on several platforms, 90% of artists were only using it forSpotify.Why?Because we auto-filled Spotify links, but not the others.Artists were missing out onDeezer,TIDAL,Amazon Music,YouTube Music, andAudiomack follows simply because they had to manually add URLs.So we fixed it.We now auto-include all supported DSPs in the Multi Follow when artist URLs are added at sign up. It's been a few weeks since we launched our automated integration withBandcamp. We already knew thatFeature.fm delivers the highest referrer sales conversion rates for Bandcamp, but since they've been added as an automated service, we've seen an explosion in Bandcamp usage and inclusion inFeature.fm. Earlier this year, a group of some of my favorite digitally forward managers foundedCulture Wave Management, a new boutique management company and a subsidiary ofRed Light Management. I was pretty excited to see all of this talent in one place and selfishly thought to myself, “When are they gonna call me??” Well, the answer was a few weeks ago and it was in regards to an upcoming We Came As Romans track titled “Bad Luck.” That phone call perfectly illustrates what I love about this crew. We were working with minimal variables but by creating a safe space for ideas, everyone got into it and damn if we didn’t land on a viable concept by the end of it.Naturally, we discussed the concept of both good and bad “luck” a lot and thought about mechanics which could determine if a fan was having a lucky or unlucky day. What about a dice roll? When playing D&D, everything you do is determined by a dice roll and I can recall both triumphant and tragic rolls in my past campaigning. Not as bad as when my childhood friend Justin’s paladin lost his arm in the first tavern we visited, but bad rolls nonetheless. What if we developed an app which allowed fans to roll two six sided dice (2D6) everyday and the success of their roll determined how much of a new clip they could hear.
