Law offices in Orange County consist of a diverse mix of local and national firms led by Rutan & Tucker, a regional firm with 140 attorneys who work at its Irvine headquarters.

It is followed by Irvine-based Knobbe Martens, which has 130 attorneys in Orange County.

International firm Gibson Dunn & Crutcher rounds out the top three firms with 105 local attorneys.

Snell & Wilmer’s Orange County office had a change in leadership as of Jan. 1. Jon Frank became the office managing partner succeeding Eric Pezold, a partner in the firm’s bankruptcy, insolvency and business reorganization practice group.

Pezold will lead the firm’s technology committee this year. “As Jon assumes the Orange County leadership role, we are excited for his capable guidance and are confident that the office will continue to thrive as an integral part of our growing California team,” said Barb Dawson, chair of Snell & Wilmer, in a statement.

The top 25 biggest law firms with offices in Orange County employ about 1,400 attorneys in local offices. That includes more than 600 partners, plus associates, counsel and other staff attorneys.

As a group, the 25 largest firms employ approximately 2,500 people including attorneys, paralegals and support staff.
