Garden Grove, CA - November 18: Patrons attend the opening of "The Shroud of Turin: An Immersive Experience" and museum at the Christ Cathedral Campus dedicated to an artifact that many Catholics believe was the funereal shroud used to wrap Jesus of Nazareth after he was crucified. Photo taken at Christ Cathedral in Garden Grove Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2025. The shroud has an imprint of a man on it with the same wounds that Jesus would have suffered. The exhibit has three immersive rooms with projections that are designed to make visitors feel like they are living in Jesus' time and where they can experience the resurrection themselves. There is also a more traditional museum section where visitors can learn more about the shroud and other sacred artifacts. (Allen J. Schaben / Los Angeles Times)
